When it comes to trauma it's images not words that work for me. Hello, art therapist here! Reflecting on 25 years since 9/11 and all I learned about myself and the world as a fledgling art therapist in New York that day. I had finished my training at Pratt in '99, and stayed on in that glorious City. My first experience of being a therapist both in a trauma and holding space for others.... Pictured here are the postcard and pamphlet that showed up on new yorkers doorsteps about how to take care of ourselves. Not pictured are the countless drawings and stories created after as a way to try to understand, connect, share, and process. 💛. The postcard says "New York Needs Us Strong". If I were to recreate that postcard today (and maybe I will) it would say something like "the world needs your humanness". Strong is great, and also compassion, care, fear, and grief... All are so welcome.

What would yours say? 💌

I love this little corner of the world, and I love getting to open these doors every week to collaborate with incredible people on their wellness journeys.

I wanted the studio to feel less like a clinical office and more like a warm, artistic sanctuary—complete with a rainbow welcome at the threshold. Because the work you do here is deeply personal, and you deserve an environment that honors that with warmth and care.

If you’ve been thinking about exploring art therapy, consider this your official invitation to take that first step. And if you've created in this space, thanks for bringing your heart, your story, and your creativity through these doors. I am so incredibly grateful to share this journey with you. 💛

Fellow therapist, I'd love to work together! You hold space for everyone else... I invite you to step out of the clinician's chair.

At Triangle Art Therapy, I offer a safe, confidential space just for you. You already have all the tools. Come in to play, be curious, and explore your own self-care through a creative approach.

☀️ Summer Openings: I have a select few spots available this summer for NC clinicians ready to prioritize themselves. In person in downtown Raleigh or via telehealth.

Give yourself permission to be the one supported. I adore working with fellow clinicians and would love to chat more!

Pooches welcome to join your session! (Just run it by your therapist first). Bonus points if they match the office decor 🤩
