EFNEP, the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program, is a federally funded educational program conducted through the Cooperative Extension Service in every state and U.S. In North Carolina, EFNEP is administered through NC State University and NC A & T State University. Program participants gain knowledge, skills, and confidence to make informed choices about low-cost, nutritious foods, and t

o better manage their family food budgets and become more self-sufficient. Communities with EFNEP draw upon professional and organizational relationships to tackle social and health disparities associated with hunger, malnutrition, poverty,

Walking is a great way to work movement into your day! πŸšΆπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸšΆπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ‘Ÿ

For a little extra intensity, try adding one or all of these simple modifications into your walk:
- Choose a path with hills.
- Walk at a medium pace for 2 minutes, then walk quickly for 30 seconds, and repeat this throughout the walk.
- Walk backwards or sideways to work different muscles.

Make sure to check with your doctor before beginning any exercise routine, and stop if you feel any pain.

If biking outside is not an option, many recreation centers and gyms have indoor, stationary bicycles you can try!
