We focus entirely on nonsurgical orthopedics and general sports medicine care. This includes ultrasound-guided steroid injections/aspirations of the extremities and hip for tendonitis and arthritis, sports injuries including basic sprains and fractures, and advanced injections including hyaluronic acid (hyalgan, supartz, lubricant injections), prolotherapy, and PRP injections (Platelet-Rich Plasma

). We also see patients with sports concussions, and any general performance medicine complaints. Dr. Matthew Kanaan is a fellowship trained sports medicine specialist who utilizes every possible nonsurgical option available to return patients back to the activities they enjoy.

Meet Kelsey! She is an integral member of the clinical team at Carolina Nonsurgical Orthopedics. With extensive experience in orthopedic care, she is known for her compassionate, attentive approach and is beloved by patients for her warm, friendly bedside manner.

Kelsey also serves as the phlebotomist for PRP procedures and as our X-ray technician, helping ensure each patient receives exceptional, efficient care from diagnosis through treatment.

We're excited to announce that our team is growing! Welcome, Dr. Pierce Knox! 🎉

Dr. Knox is a Penn Medicine-Trained Nonsurgical Orthopedic Physician and will be serving at our Raleigh and Cary locations alongside Dr. Kanaan.

He specializes in PRP/Stem Cell therapies, and is passionate about helping patients return to their sport and/or active lifestyle safely and efficiently through minimally invasive interventions.

In his free time, Dr. Knox enjoys running, hiking, cooking, and making espresso. ☕
