The risk of contracting rabies from touching and feeding the Harmony Farm baby goats in the mobile petting zoo is low, but not zero. Rabies is a serious, deadly, and incurable disease. The NCDHHS link lists the potential exposure dates and locations, as well as what to do if exposure occurred.

NCDHHS and the NC Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services were first notified of a potential rabies exposure among four baby goats at Farm Adventures in Harmony, North Carolina on August 27.
