So you just had a baby, and now you’ve been sent home with this baby, and you have no idea what to do. Don’t panic!

Our postpartum doulas are here to help you learn how to take care of your new baby and to help you physically recover from birth.

With support available for 4–6 hours per day, your doulas will help build your confidence as a new parent while answering all of your questions about caring for a new baby.

Did you know that you may still look about 4–5 months pregnant when you leave the hospital after the birth of your baby? This is totally normal!

Make sure you pack some comfortable clothes to wear when you get discharged that still give you plenty of room to breathe 💙

If this is your first baby and you are nervous about being sent back home because you went to the hospital “too soon,” let us give you a few tips ⬇️

Ignore your labor until you no longer can. Sleep if you can. If you can’t sleep, distract yourself with your usual routines or doing an activity that you enjoy.

When you are having to consistently stop what you are doing and breathe through contractions that last for about a minute or longer for 1-2 hours, then head to the hospital.

Pay attention to the intensity of the contractions; if you are having to vocalize during the contractions, go ahead and head to the hospital!

October 15th is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day 🕯️

Today, we remember and honor the babies who died during pregnancy, birth, or in their first year of life.

To every parent who has experienced one of these immeasurable losses, our hearts are with you. Your babies are remembered. Your love for them matters. If you feel comfortable, share the name of your little one in the comments so we can help recognize and remember them today.

Tonight at 7 PM, we invite everyone to light a candle and join the Wave of Light, creating a worldwide wave of light in remembrance of these precious lives✨
