High school baseball player came in with right distal tricep tendon pain that only occurred with throwing. No pain reproduced with manual muscle tests. Strong rotator cuff strength at neutral but weak in 90/90 position with excessive upper trap compensation. When the PT observed posture, she noticed significant atrophy of the right infraspinatus muscle. After 1 week of NMES to infraspinatus and proper exercises for increased activation, the patient noticed significant improvement in scapular mobility and control of shoulder with decreased pain in triceps with throwing. He’ll be ready for baseball season in no time! ⚾️
