Join us for a free, hands-on learning experience on June 3rd at The Journey Museum! The day features three professional workshops facilitated by Black Hills Special Services Cooperative and Palecek Therapy and Consulting where the outcome is a deeper understanding of poverty and the real barriers that impact workforce participation, retention, and advancement in our community.

Whether you’re a community member, employer, policymaker, or service provider, these workshops will inform how you see poverty and the path to economic mobility.

"I thought, I’ve been trying to turn the light switch on for people, and all I can really do in a healthy way is to know that I own a flashlight and I know where to aim it. That’s it. I had been trying to turn the light switch on for people and you can’t do it. It was the discovery of my life. That one has been forever. You don’t go to the margins to make a difference, because then it’s about you. You go to the margins so that the folks at the margins make you different. Now it’s about us."
