Not every bump is acne, especially in young children.

I was recently featured in Mom.com sharing my perspective on toddler acne, what can mimic it, and when it may be time to see a dermatologist.

True acne is actually uncommon in young children, which is why persistent breakouts can sometimes tell us there is more going on beneath the surface. I also shared a few of the conditions that can look like acne and why getting the right diagnosis matters before reaching for a treatment.
