Yesterday marked the end of an incredible chapter as we said goodbye to Dr. Tucker on his final day in the office. His compassion, dedication, and impact on our patients and team will leave a lasting legacy for years to come. We are so grateful for everything he has given to this practice and community. Wishing him a well-earned retirement filled with happiness, relaxation, and new adventures. Cheers Dr. Tucker! You will be greatly missed!

Dr. Corwin's vision, dedication and wealth of knowledge laid the foundation for our practice nearly 70 years ago. It is an honor to carry on his eyecare legacy - His presence will be greatly missed.

Rapid City Bert Clark Corwin, 95, passed away at his home on May 10, 2026. Obituary and service information will be posted soon.

🎉 Please help us welcome Dr. Alisa Brogden to our office - today is her first day! Originally from Louisiana, she and her husband (also an optometrist!) recently moved to the Rapid City area with their four children. Dr. Brogden comes from a strong family background in eye care and brings 19 years of optometric experience to our office. We’re thrilled to have her on our team -be sure to say hello when you’re in the office! 👓

As we welcome the New Year, we’re excited to share an update with you all… We have officially begun the transition to Holec and Young Eye Care! While our name and logo have changed, there is one thing that remains exactly the same — our commitment to exceptional eye care and the patients we serve.

This new look reflects the next chapter of our practice while honoring the care, trust, and relationships we’ve built over the years. As we continue to adjust to well-earned retirements, that means welcoming a few new faces to our team. With this new team, we are excited to provide the same legacy of care to Rapid City and beyond! As we wrap up a month full of festivities, celebrations, and plenty of smiles, we can’t help but feel incredibly grateful. 💙 Grateful for the patients who trust us, and especially for the team we get to work alongside every single day. The laughter, teamwork, and support behind the scenes are what truly make our office special—and we certainly made the most of it by packing in tons of fun along the way! From the most amazing holiday party pouring candles at Urban Glow followed by the Blind Lion to hot cocoa bars and dress-up days at the office, it was a month full of memories and smiles.

As we turn the page to a new month, we’re also looking ahead with excitement—big changes are on the horizon, and we can’t wait to share what’s next. Here’s to growth, new beginnings, and continuing to care for our community together. ✨
