💛 A Friday at Kid PT with Sara 💛

Sara has been part of the Kid PT family for 10 years, and watching her journey has been nothing short of inspiring.

Every Friday, she comes in ready to work hard, challenge herself, and continue building on the incredible progress she’s made over the years ✨

This session started with speech therapy, where Sara is working on something especially meaningful: sharing her story. She’s currently creating a book about her accident, her journey, and everything she’s overcome along the way.

From there, the focus shifted to strengthening and coordination through a variety of activities designed to challenge her balance, core strength, upper body control, motor planning, and functional movement. Whether she’s reaching, balancing, sorting, or problem-solving, every activity is helping her build confidence and independence one step at a time 🌿

One of the things we love most about Sara is her determination. She shows up every week ready to try, ready to learn, and ready to keep moving forward.

We are so proud of how far she’s come and can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next 💛

⭐️ Super Star of the Week ⭐️

This week we’re celebrating Luke and all the amazing progress he’s been making 💛✨

Luke has been working incredibly hard in physical therapy, and it’s showing. We’ve seen noticeable improvements in his strength, balance, coordination, posture, and overall endurance.

One of our favorite things to watch has been his growing confidence as he continues to improve skills like jumping, running, and standing on one leg 🌿

These may seem like simple activities, but they require a combination of strength, stability, coordination, and body awareness and Luke has been making meaningful progress in all of them.

His dedication, perseverance, and positive attitude continue to shine through in every session, and we’re so proud of how far he’s come.

Keep up the amazing work, Luke! We’re cheering you on every step of the way ⭐️💛

When people hear “picky eating,” they often assume a child will grow out of it.

But for some children, eating challenges go far beyond being picky 💛

ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder) is a feeding disorder that can make eating feel overwhelming, stressful, or even scary. Children may avoid entire food groups, struggle with certain textures, become anxious around meals, or have a very limited list of accepted foods.

The good news? There is support available ✨

At Kid PT, our feeding therapists focus on helping children build confidence around food in a safe, supportive, and pressure-free environment. Through play, sensory exploration, skill-building, and family support, we help make mealtimes feel less stressful and more successful for everyone involved 🌿

Most importantly, ARFID is not caused by bad parenting, and you don’t have to navigate it alone.

If you’ve ever wondered whether your child’s eating challenges are more than picky eating, we’re here to help 💛

⭐️ Super Star of the Week ⭐️

This week we’re celebrating Henry and all the incredible progress he’s been making 💛✨

Henry has been working hard on improving his trunk control, which has helped support better balance, coordination, and confidence during functional activities.

We’re especially excited to see him walking more often on flat feet, a sign of growth in motor planning and lower extremity alignment 🌿

From balance and coordination to stronger core stability and more controlled movement, Henry continues to make meaningful progress in each session.

We are so proud of his hard work, determination, and the confidence he’s building along the way. Keep up the amazing work, Henry! We’re cheering you on every step of the way ⭐️💛
