✨🌿 Some meetings are simply meant to happen. 🌿✨

Today, a lovely new friend walked into the apothecary carrying gifts. She creates beautiful skull art and told me she felt compelled to make this mossy green skull adorned with moss, botanicals, and a crescent moon. She said she couldn’t quite understand why she felt so drawn to create it… until she stepped inside Bare Root Apothecary.

The moment she walked through the door, she knew.

She said it felt like this piece had always been meant for this space.

And honestly, I believe her.

There’s something magical about meeting people whose paths seem to intertwine with yours long before you’ve ever met. The kind of connection that feels familiar, like the plants, the forest, and the universe have been quietly arranging the introduction all along.

And if that wasn’t enough, she also came bearing plants. 🌱💚

So naturally, she had my heart from the start.

I’m endlessly grateful for the beautiful souls this little forest apothecary continues to bring through its doors. It’s never just about herbs, tinctures, or tea. It’s about community, connection, and those unexpected moments that remind us we’re exactly where we’re meant to be.

Today felt like pure magic. ✨🌿

Out in the sunshine, surrounded by the elements, hands busy with the plants, I spent the day crafting fresh Blackberry Leaf tincture while working with California Poppy and Horsetail.

The warmth of the sun, the breeze moving through the trees, the scent of fresh herbs in the air… these are the moments that remind me why I do this work. This is medicine-making in its oldest form—working alongside the land, listening, observing, and honoring the gifts it provides.

🌿 Blackberry Leaf — traditionally used to support digestion, soothe tissues, and provide gentle nourishment through its rich mineral content.

🌼 California Poppy — a beloved ally for calming the nervous system, promoting relaxation, and supporting restful sleep.

🌱 Horsetail — rich in silica and traditionally used to support healthy hair, skin, nails, connective tissue, and overall vitality.

Every tincture begins with a relationship—with the plants, the season, the weather, and the land itself. Today was one of those days where everything felt aligned, and the medicine seemed to make itself.

🌼✨ Back at it with more California Poppy today.

The land has been incredibly gracious this season, offering an abundance of plant allies, and I’m taking a moment to appreciate every harvest. There’s something special about turning freshly gathered herbs into medicine with your own hands.

California Poppy (Eschscholzia californica) is often overlooked because of its delicate beauty, but it’s one of my favorite herbs for supporting the nervous system.

🌿 Traditionally used to:

• Ease nervous tension and stress
• Promote relaxation without feeling heavily sedated
