Congratulations to Lakeland High School Speech and Communications Instructor Colleen Hall! Colleen was presented with the IHSAA Wes Lowe Memorial Award yesterday at the Idaho Association of School Administrators Summer Leadership Conference yesterday. This award is given to an individual who teaches high principles by example and who places students' well being far above personal gain.

Colleen has been at Lakeland High School since 1994 and has served as an English and Speech teacher, school counselor, department chair, and Speech Team Coach. She has also taught public speaking as an adjunct instructor at North Idaho College since 2009.

As head coach of the Lakeland speech team, Colleen has spent decades helping students develop communication skills, confidence, and leadership through competition. She also served as District I and II Speech Tournament Manager and co-managed the Idaho State Speech Tournament, earning respect for her professionalism and dedication to student opportunities.

Colleen has helped countless students build confidence, develop leadership skills, and achieve success beyond the classroom.
This award is well-deserved!
