🎉 Hey PC Fam! O.U.R. Place is bringing Sober October Recovery Fest back to downtown Ravenna!

This FREE, family-friendly community event will celebrate recovery, hope, connection, and the belief that people can heal and build lives they love. We’re planning live music, recovery stories, food, family activities, local vendors, community resources, and plenty of positive energy! 🧡

We are also still accepting sponsors, vendors, artisans, resource providers, churches, nonprofits, and community organizations—and community support is especially important this year.

Sponsorship opportunities begin at $100, and custom or in-kind partnerships are welcome. Every contribution helps us keep this celebration free and accessible to the community.

O.U.R. Place is preparing our community memorial for International Overdose Awareness Day 2026: Nobody’s Story Should End Too Soon and we need your help reviewing it before everything is finalized.

If your loved one should be included, please check our memorial album to make sure:

• Their photograph is included
• Their name is spelled correctly
• We have the photograph you want displayed

This listening session is an opportunity for people in recovery, family members, allies, and community stakeholders to share their experiences, concerns, ideas, and hopes for recovery in Ohio. Your feedback helps inform advocacy efforts and ensure that recovery voices are heard.
Due to a recent staffing transition and some communication challenges, information about today's event may not have reached everyone as intended. If this is the first you're hearing about it, you're not alone!
The session will be facilitated by John Nimmo, who brings extensive experience in the recovery community and is helping ensure that community voices are heard.
⭐ No registration is required. Simply join us in person or on Zoom.
📢 If you cannot attend due to the short notice but would have liked to participate, please let us know. We are exploring ways to ensure everyone has an opportunity to provide feedback.

🚨 OCAAR TOWN HALL UPDATE – PLEASE READ & SHARE 🚨

We need a quick community check-in!

The OCAAR Town Hall Listening Session at O.U.R. Place IS currently scheduled for TOMORROW, Tuesday, June 16 from 5:30–6:30 PM.

However, there appears to be some confusion because OCAAR’s website is still showing the original event as “Postponed” and some people who registered for the original date may not have received updated information.

Congratulations to Coleman Health Services and The Mental Health and Recovery Board of Portage County on the ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of the new Portage Crisis Center! This center provides a safe and appropriate setting where individuals can receive immediate support. This crucial resource brings new hope to our community. Thanks to everyone involved in making this a reality!
