🔦Staff Spotlight: Morgyn, RBT
Morgyn is an incredible RBT who brings positivity, resilience, and a smile to every day. No matter what challenges come her way, she remains calm, composed, and focused, handling situations with professionalism and confidence. Her ability to stay collected under pressure helps create a supportive environment for both her clients and her teammates.
Morgyn’s positive attitude is contagious, and her dedication to providing quality care shines through in everything she does. She approaches each day with patience, flexibility, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed. We are so grateful for the energy, heart, and commitment she brings to Expressions, and we are lucky to have her on our team!
Looking back, what advice would you give your ‘new RBT’ self?
Looking back, I would tell my "new RBT" self to take it one day at a time! I'd remind myself to prioritize self-care and remember that not understanding everything now doesn't mean I won't in the future.
If you could have any superpower during a therapy session, what would it be?
I would definitely choose the power of mind-reading! I would love to know what all of my clients are thinking, especially my nonverbal ones.
What skill do you love teaching most? (Communication, play, independence, etc.)
I love teaching communication skills the most. Seeing a client light up because their words are understood and heard, whether through an AAC device or vocally, is so rewarding.
What’s a client win you’ve been especially proud of lately?
A win I'm especially proud of recently is one of my clients who just got an AAC device and is already excelling with it! It’s amazing to watch how fast they’ve understood it.
What’s one thing you’ve learned at Expressions that’s helped you grow?
One thing I've learned at Expressions is empathy. I have so much empathy for the kids, their families, and everyone who works with children on the spectrum.
Which Tiny Town spot would you “work” in if you had to pick one?
I would definitely pick the diner. It has such a fun atmosphere, and the clients love playing there so much.
What staff event or spirit day has been your favorite so far?
My favorite staff events are the ones where we just get dinner and hang out. It's awesome to connect outside of Expressions! Potluck days are a close runner-up.
What’s one word you’d use to describe the Expressions team?
Supportive. We truly are such a good team, and the support from fellow RBTs, leads, and BCBAs is what makes Expressions the best.
What would you tell someone who’s thinking about joining the Expressions family?
To anyone thinking about joining the Expressions family, know that this is a great place to work. It’s a fun and positive environment where clients hold special places in our hearts, co-workers become genuine friends, and our BCBAs serve as inspiring role models. I feel lucky to have such a great work family!
