🤍 my name is victoria, and before i was the clinic manager at medi weightloss raynham… i was a patient.
i’ve been overweight for as long as i can remember.
i grew up believing food meant love. in my portuguese family, every celebration, every gathering, every difficult day seemed to revolve around food. for a long time, my relationship with food was complicated.
i also lived with severe asthma and depended on steroids just to breathe. on top of that, i have an autoimmune disease that made everything feel even harder.
when i started my own journey with medi, i wasn’t looking for perfection. i just wanted my life back.
since then, i’ve lost over 120 pounds.
but if i’m being honest, the biggest changes weren’t the number on the scale.
my asthma has improved dramatically.
my inflammation has decreased.
i have more energy.
i move differently.
i think differently.
i’ve also learned that this journey isn’t linear. i lost a significant amount of weight, regained some of it, and chose to keep going. that’s something many people experience, and it doesn’t mean you’ve failed. it means you’re human.
today, i manage the same clinic that helped change my life.
that’s why this isn’t just a job to me.
every person who walks through our doors reminds me of where i once stood—hoping this time could be different.
if you’re struggling, please know this:
you don’t have to do it alone.
