Palmetto Addiction Recovery Center has been helping people recover from addiction for more than 16 years. Our team of caring professionals share over 250 years of experience in breaking the cycle of this devastating, chronic disease. We believe recovery must occur in three areas: physical, emotional and spiritual. Our program is designed to address all three of these key areas from day one. Our fa

cilities and staff provide an environment that encourages a return to basic living skills, development of non-addictive coping skills, recognition of character defects, development of a non self-centered way of living, and a spiritual approach to life. Each morning, our multi-disciplinary team meets to review each patient’s progress ensuring our approach and treatment is continuously updated. Goal oriented and patient specific methods provide the basis for patient care and prevention of relapse. Palmetto is located on a beautiful 70-acre rural setting surrounded by Lake Lafouche. This setting is private and tranquil to promote a safe and healing environment for treatment. Men and women residents live in separate, self-contained 8-bed cabins. We offer a state of the art 3,000 square foot fitness center equipped with a full circuit of nautilus machines, a large free weight area, and a wide variety of aerobic equipment. In addition, we have a 5,000 square foot pavilion with state of the art audio visual equipment for family therapy, lectures and our annual conference. The bottom line is we genuinely care about our patients, our staff is second to none, our fees are less than comparable programs, and we have created an excellent environment to promote recovery.

Today we’re proud to recognize an incredible member of our Palmetto family!

After coming through treatment in 2010, Paulette made the courageous decision to change her life and has now celebrated 16 years of sobriety. Her recovery journey is a powerful reminder that healing is possible and that hope can become a reality.

For the past 14 years, she has dedicated herself to serving others here at Palmetto, using her experience, compassion, and encouragement to help countless individuals begin their own recovery journeys.

Her story is proof that recovery works, lives can be transformed, and giving back can make an incredible difference.

Thank you for your dedication, your servant heart, and for being an inspiration to our clients, staff, and community every day.

Today we’re celebrating Chris and his birthday.

Chris has been a valued member of our team for the past two years and recently received his CIT credentials, showing his dedication to helping those on their recovery journey.

As our Discharge Planner, Chris works closely with the clients and therapists to ensure they have a solid plan in place as they transition from treatment. Whether that means coordination placement in sober living or a 3.1 residential facility, he helps set clients up for continued success and long-term recovery.
