While many people are starting their day with sugary cereal, muffins, or bagels, I’m enjoying leftover slow-cooker Indian Butter Chicken over rice. A much better way to fuel the day ahead.

One of my favorite things about making meals in the crock pot is that they require very little hands-on effort, and the leftovers make for an incredibly easy breakfast—just a quick warm-up on the stovetop and it’s ready to go.

This meal provides plenty of protein for steady energy, is filling enough to keep me satisfied for hours, and helps me start the day nourished instead of reaching for snacks a couple of hours later.

Before eating, I like to start with a digestive bitter, such as arugula, to help prepare my digestive system for the meal ahead. Supporting digestion is just as important as choosing quality foods.

If you’d like to try the recipe, here ya go!

Healthy Slow Cooker Butter Chicken
Serves: 6

Ingredients:
2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into chunks
1 medium onion, finely diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
1 cup full-fat coconut milk (or plain Greek yogurt added at the end)
2 tablespoons butter or ghee
1 tablespoon garam masala
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon cumin
½ teaspoon coriander
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon sea salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Optional: ¼–½ teaspoon cayenne for heat

Place the chicken, onion, garlic, and ginger in the slow cooker.
In a bowl, mix together:
Tomato sauce, Tomato paste, spices, salt and pepper. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken and stir. Add the butter or ghee on top.
Cook:
Low: 6–7 hours
Or high: 3–4 hours
During the last 30 minutes, stir in the coconut milk.
If using Greek yogurt instead, allow the chicken to cool slightly and stir it in after cooking to prevent curdling.
Taste and adjust seasonings.

Goes great with basmati rice, cauliflower rice, or steamed vegetables, cilantro and a squeeze of lime.

The flavors are even better the next day, making this an excellent meal-prep recipe. 🍛✨

🎉 We Have a Winner! 🎉

Thank you to everyone who participated in this week’s wellness giveaway! I was impressed by how many of you were on the right track. 👏🌿

The answer to the mystery is cruciferous vegetables! And the winner will be given a bottle of Standard Process’s Cruciferous Complete!
This product is made from concentrates of the very vegetables many of you guessed, including favorites from the cruciferous family like broccoli, cabbage, kale, Brussels sprouts, and cauliflower.

👏 Congratulations to our winner, Leanne Pospisil! 👏
Your name was randomly selected from all the correct guesses. You’ve won this week’s featured wellness product! Please send us a message or stop by the office to claim your prize. 🎁

So what makes cruciferous vegetables so special?
These vegetables contain unique compounds that help support the body’s natural detoxification processes and healthy hormone balance. One of the most studied is indole-3-carbinol (I3C), which is converted in the body into beneficial compounds, including diindolylmethane (DIM), that support healthy estrogen metabolism and liver function.
This is one of the reasons I often encourage people to eat more cruciferous vegetables—or consider additional support when they aren’t getting enough of them regularly. In today’s world, giving the body’s natural detoxification and hormone-balancing pathways a little extra support can go a long way. 🌱✨

Thank you again to everyone who played along. Stay tuned for next week’s giveaway! 😉

🌿 Time for another Guess the Wellness Product Giveaway! 🌿

This week’s wellness favorite comes from a group of vegetables that many people know they should eat more of… but often don’t. 😉

Researchers have spent years studying a unique compound found within these vegetables because of its ability to support the body’s natural detoxification processes and healthy hormone balance.

It’s especially popular among those looking to support healthy estrogen metabolism, liver function, and overall wellness in today’s world of increased environmental exposures.

While the original source grows in the garden, this product provides a convenient way to get concentrated support without having to eat large amounts every day.

Think green. Think powerful. Think one of nature’s most respected allies for hormone health. 🌱

✨ All correct guesses from both Facebook and Instagram will be entered into a drawing, and one winner will be randomly chosen tonight at 8:00 PM.

“Consider the wildflowers, how they grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.” — Luke 12:27

Wildflowers don’t force growth—they respond to what’s already around them: sun, soil, water, season. There’s a quiet rhythm in that… one that mirrors how our own bodies and lives are designed to function when we’re not in constant overdrive.

So much of wellness is about returning to balance—letting go of chronic striving, nervous system overload, and the pressure to constantly “fix” ourselves. Even nature shows us: growth happens best in alignment, not force.

Jesus points to wildflowers as proof that God provides with intention and care. If He clothes the fields with that level of beauty and detail, we can trust that He’s also sustaining us—body, mind, and spirit.

Maybe today is a reminder to slow the internal pace. To breathe deeper. To step out of comparison and back into alignment with how you were designed to live: supported, nourished, and held.

🌼 Let your body rest in safety
🌼 Let your mind release striving
🌼 Let your spirit trust the timing
🌼 Let nature remind you to receive instead of force

You don’t have to push for what is already being provided for you.

💛 Grow gently. Live aligned. Trust deeply.

🍯 Just because a label says ‘organic cane sugar’ doesn’t mean it’s healthy.

Most cane sugar has been heavily processed and stripped of the minerals and nutrients that originally came from the sugar cane plant — leaving behind a highly refined sugar that the body processes very differently than whole-food sweeteners.

That’s why we’re intentional about the treats and chocolates we carry here 🤍

We look for options made with better ingredients and more natural sweeteners like:
• Raw honey
• Pure maple syrup
• Coconut sugar

Because healthy living shouldn’t mean you never get to enjoy something sweet ✨

Small ingredient swaps can make a big difference over time.

Okay… clearly I waited a little too long between sessions 😅
Detoxing isn’t optional anymore in this world we live in today.
Between processed foods (which I don’t even eat and ya see my water? 👀) environmental toxins, plastics, fragrances, stress, chemicals, and everything our bodies are exposed to daily, supporting our natural detox pathways has become such an important part of my wellness routine.

When I stay consistent with my Ion Cleanse foot baths, the water is usually much clearer than this. But after going a little too long between sessions… this was the result 👀

One thing I love about these sessions is that they help support lymphatic flow and the body’s natural drainage processes, and many people feel their detox pathways stay more active for the next few days afterward.

No, we can’t avoid every toxin… but we can support our bodies better. Your body is working hard for you every single day. Supporting drainage, hydration, minerals, nourishment, movement, and detox pathways matters more now than ever before. ✨

Three layers made with love… and clearly not by a professional baker. 🤍😅

The edges aren’t perfect, the decorating isn’t flawless, and I’m sure a real cake artist could’ve done this beautifully in half the time. But honestly, I think that’s part of what makes homemade food so special.

This cake took extra time, extra planning, and extra intention — but that’s often what love looks like.

In a world full of shortcuts, there’s something beautiful about slowing down and choosing ingredients that truly nourish the people around us. Not from fear or perfectionism, but from care. Because our families are worth the extra effort.

The homemade meals.
The cleaner ingredients.
The soaking, souring, baking from scratch, and intentional choices.

They may seem small, but over time they become the memories, traditions, and everyday moments that shape a home.

I truly believe healthy food doesn’t have to feel restrictive. It can still be beautiful, celebratory, comforting, and full of joy. ✨

There is something sacred about preparing food with loving hands — honoring the bodies God created while gathering the people we love around the table.

For anyone wondering if the extra step is worth it… it is. 🤍

There’s something about rain and running water that always feels so cleansing to me.

Like God’s way of reminding us we don’t have to carry every worry, every regret, or every heavy thought into a new week.

Sometimes healing looks quiet:
A rainy walk. The sound of a stream. A slow Sunday, Deep breaths. Prayer. And letting the past wash downstream instead of holding onto it so tightly.

“He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul.”
— Psalm 23:2–3

Today choose rest over rushing, peace over pressure, and trusting God with the things you cannot control.

May this rainy Sunday wash away some of the heaviness and bring a little restoration to your spirit 🤍
