AAP’s vaccine recommendations for U.S. children are built on decades of research, thousands of studies, continuous safety monitoring, and the expertise of physicians and scientists whose sole focus is children's health. AAP’s schedule is based on when children’s immune systems respond best to immunizations, and when they are most vulnerable to preventable diseases.

We don't change recommendations because of political considerations, speculations, or misinformation. Right now, the evidence continues to show that these vaccines are safe, effective, and important for protecting children.

Dear Patients,

To help reduce unnecessary Emergency Room visits, we ask that you contact our office before going to the ER whenever possible. Our triage nurses and on-call providers are available to answer questions, assess your child’s symptoms, and help determine the most appropriate level of care. Your Reading Pediatric providers are your best option for routine and immediate care and know your medical history

We have also created the document, “Where to Go for Care,” as a helpful guide to assist you in deciding when to seek care from your primary care provider, an urgent care center, or the Emergency Room.

You can view and print a copy of “Where to go for care?” by going to the News section of our website.

Thank you,
Your RPA Care Team

Today’s White House event on autism was filled with dangerous claims and misleading information that sends a confusing message to parents and expecting parents and does a disservice to autistic individuals.

We know autism is complex, highly variable and increasingly linked to genetics. Individualized plans, often involving a combination of developmental, behavioral, educational and social-relational strategies, can help improve outcomes that are meaningful to individuals and families. We also need and welcome additional investments in federally funded research to better support families of autistic children.

Families who have questions about their child’s medications, autism care plans or other health care should consult with their pediatrician or health care provider.

Reading Pediatrics has and always will support vaccines to promote public health and our patients safety. We support our governor in promoting proven health practices in the face of the RFK's misinformation and dismantling of the CDC.

We’re working with the carrier to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Dear RPA patients & families,

Some of you may be aware of the proposed bans on medical care and other legislation aiming to restrict the rights of our transgender and gender diverse youth. These policies are in direct opposition to our values and our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.

We at Reading Pedriatrics stand with our transgender and gender diverse families and support our patients in any care they choose to pursue. Our office is a place where our patients can feel safe to express themselves fully. 🏳️‍⚧️
