Your lab results come back "normal," and yet you still feel terrible. That gap is exactly what I work on.

When I sit down with a patient, I'm not just checking whether their labs fall inside a reference range. I'm asking how they're sleeping, how stressed they are, what their relationships look like, what their days actually feel like. Because you are not a collection of data points. You're a whole person, and that's how I treat you.

Feeling your best isn't some unrealistic standard. It's waking up with energy that actually carries you through the day. Thinking clearly. Eating without paying for it afterward. A nervous system that knows how to come down when there's no real threat.

That's what your body is capable of. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
And if your current practitioner isn't listening to you, not just your labs, keep looking. You deserve better than that.

Most of us are wired to scan for threats and fixate on what's going wrong. It's a survival mechanism. But when that becomes your default, it costs you. In your relationships, your mood, your overall health.

What does shifting that pattern actually look like?
➡️ Noticing small moments of joy instead of cataloging annoyances.
➡️ Expressing appreciation and watching your relationships change because of it.
➡️ Aiming for five positive interactions for every hard one.
➡️ Feeling more present with the people who matter most.

Where to start.
✔️ Keep a daily gratitude journal. Even three things.
✔️ Say it out loud to someone. Don't just think it.
✔️ Celebrate small wins. Yours and other people's.

Your brain is trainable. What you focus on, you strengthen.

Sleep isn't optional. It's the foundation everything else is built on.

One bad night and your cortisol spikes, your insulin gets disrupted, and your cravings take over. All within 24 hours.

Not because you have no willpower. Because that's what sleep deprivation does to your body.

And most of us are doing this chronically.

Consistent, quality sleep, somewhere between 7 and 8.5 hours, is where your hormones regulate, your energy stabilizes, and your body actually gets to repair itself. No supplement replaces it. No morning routine compensates for it.

Are you treating your sleep like the priority it actually is?

Let me ask you something...
1️⃣ Do you chase the latest trend or stay consistent with the basics?
2️⃣ Are your health habits reducing stress or quietly creating more of it?
3️⃣ Are you focused on what actually moves the needle or drowning in the details?

I see people doing everything "right," tracking everything, optimizing everything, and still feeling exhausted, inflamed, and frustrated. More information didn't help them. It overwhelmed them.

Here's what I tell my patients: simple works.

➡️ Sleep, hydration, whole foods, movement. That's your foundation. Everything else is secondary.
➡️ Small, consistent changes beat complete overhauls every single time.
➡️ Focus on what makes you genuinely feel good, not what's trending on your feed.

Complicated and unsustainable will never outperform simple and steady. Your wellness journey doesn't need to be impressive. It needs to work for you.

Comparison doesn't just steal your joy. It distorts your reality.

When you're constantly measuring yourself against someone else's highlight reel, your brain registers that as a threat. Cortisol rises. Self-worth drops. And you stop being able to see your own progress clearly, because you're too busy measuring it against someone else's.

What can actually help?
💙 Unfollow what's triggering you. That's not a weakness. That's protecting your mental and physical health.
💙 Redirect your attention to your own progress. Where were you six months ago? That's your measuring stick.
💙 Start a gratitude journal. Even three things a day will start to shift where your brain defaults.

Everyone you're comparing yourself to is carrying something you can't see. The "perfect life" on your screen is curated, not complete.
Your journey doesn't need to look like anyone else's to be valid.

Your symptoms are not small. Your body doesn't send signals without reason.
I can't tell you how many patients come in apologizing for bringing something up. "I know it's probably nothing." "I don't want to waste your time." But those things, they almost didn't mention? They're usually where we find the most important information.

Heart disease, autoimmune conditions, diabetes. None of these show up overnight. They're preceded by months, sometimes years, of your body whispering before it starts shouting.

Functional medicine is about catching those whispers. That means looking at the full picture:
✔️ Nutrition that actually nourishes your body, not just fills it.
✔️ Stress management that's realistic, not just theoretical.
✔️ Sleep that genuinely restores. Not just hours logged.
✔️ Movement that feels good, not like punishment.
✔️ Targeted support when your body needs more than lifestyle alone.

I'm not interested in chasing symptoms. I want to know why they're there in the first place.

If your body has been trying to tell you something, it's worth paying attention to.

The "all or nothing" mindset is one of the biggest things I see holding people back.

Real, lasting change doesn't come from a perfect week. It comes from small, intentional actions repeated consistently, especially on the days you don't feel like it.

Here's where to start:
✔️ Write your goal down and put it somewhere you'll actually see it.
✔️ Break it into smaller steps. Seriously, smaller than you think.
✔️ Pick ONE goal and own it until it becomes a habit. Then stack the next one.

Need a place to begin? Try one of these this month:
💧 Drink one extra glass of water daily.
🥦 Add a serving of vegetables to one meal.
🧘‍♀️ Five minutes of deep breathing before bed.
🚶 A 10-minute walk on your lunch break.
🍏 Swap one processed snack for whole fruit.

Consistency beats perfection every single time. Keep showing up.

In every TV ad, social media post, and news report, we've all seen how GLP-1 medications have transformed weight management. And yes, they work. But here's what those ads don't tell you.

The secret to turning good results into amazing results? The lifestyle changes you make alongside the medication.

Weight management is an ongoing journey, not a destination. Just like managing cholesterol, blood pressure, or diabetes, maintaining a healthy weight requires continued support. And at Del Negro Integrative Health, our personalized approach translates into real, measurable results:

➡️ An additional 10 pounds of weight loss
➡️ 2+ inches off the waistline
➡️ Better blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol levels

Success with GLP-1 medications requires a personalized roadmap. We tailor your dosing to minimize side effects and maximize results. And we carefully manage both escalation AND weaning because how you get off these medications matters just as much as how you start.

We help fuel your body right alongside the medication:
✓ Optimizing protein intake to preserve lean muscle
✓ Using continuous glucose monitoring for real-time insights
✓ Incorporating less inflammatory foods
✓ Ensuring adequate hydration
✓ Building strength training into your routine
✓ Prioritizing sleep and stress management

We focus on keeping your lean muscle while losing weight and give you practical tips to manage side effects as they come up.

GLP-1 medications are a powerful tool in our toolbox, but they're not the only tool. Most of our patients transition to much lower dosing with a significant decrease in adverse effects once we've built solid lifestyle-based maintenance strategies.

At Del Negro Integrative Health, we personalize a combination of medical support and lifestyle changes so you're not just losing weight. You're gaining energy, confidence, and a healthier future.
