☀️ Summer is here... and so are ticks!
IMA Urgent Care's Dr. Bhoori would like to remind patients that fi you're spending time outdoors in your yard, parks, hiking trails, or wooded areas, be sure to check yourself, your children, and your pets for ticks when you come inside.
🕷️ If you find a tick:
✔️ Remove it promptly and carefully.
✔️ Consider sending the tick to Rutgers for free identification and analysis. Here is the link: https://ticks.rutgers.edu/preSurvey
✔️ Visit your Red Bank Family Medicine provider or when we are not available, go to IMA Urgent Care ASAP: A single preventive dose of antibiotics may help reduce the risk of Lyme disease if started within 48 hours of a tick bite.

Don't wait for symptoms to appear. We are already seeing patients develop the characteristic Lyme disease rash after delaying care for a week or more.
Early action can make a big difference.

This Memorial Day, our team pauses to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Their courage, dedication, and legacy will never be forgotten. We extend our deepest gratitude to their families and all who have served.

📌 Office Update: In observance of the holiday, our office will be CLOSED on Monday, May 25th. Should you need care, our affiliated IMA Urgent Care Centers in Middletown ad Shrewsbury will be open from 7am-2pm today. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26th.
