đż Teaching Tuesday: Why Drinking Water After a Massage Matters đż
Why do I always tell you to drink water after your massage?
While massage doesn't "flush toxins" out of your body as some people believe, it does encourage circulation, movement of fluids, and relaxation of muscles that may have been holding tension for a long time.
After a massage, your body is working to restore balance and recover from the therapeutic work that was performed. Staying hydrated can help support normal muscle function, reduce post-massage soreness, and leave you feeling your best.
A few tips:
đ§ Drink extra water throughout the rest of the day.
đ§ Avoid excessive alcohol immediately after your session.
đ§ Listen to your bodyârest if you feel tired.
đ§ Gentle stretching can help maintain the benefits of your massage.
Remember, every body responds differently to massage. Some people feel energized afterward, while others feel relaxed and ready for a nap. Both are completely normal!
Have you ever noticed a difference in how you feel after a massage when you're well hydrated versus when you're not? Let me know in the comments!
