📢About Marcelo:

The Redding Rancheria Recovery Department would like to introduce our new Men’s Talking Circle, facilitated by Marcelo Banuelos. Marcelo is a lifelong resident of the Shasta County region, raised throughout the traditional homelands of the Ajumawi and Atsugewi peoples of the Pit River Tribe, where his roots run deep. He is also of Wintu, Ojibwe, and Indigenous Sinaloan heritage through his father, and he holds deep pride in all his ancestry and the generations who came before him.

As facilitator of this traditional men’s talking circle, he shares that he comes not as someone with all the answers, but as a fellow traveler, committed to creating a space where men can speak honestly, listen deeply, and remember who they are

🪶Native women are invited to join us for our upcoming Native Women’s Talking Circle: Healing and Wellness on June 17, 2026. This gathering is a space for Native women to come together in support, healing, and connection for our community. Dinner will be provided.🥙

📍The Talking Circle will be held at the Redding Rancheria Tribal Health Center, 1441 Liberty St., Redding, CA 96002, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
