👋 Please join us in welcoming Donovan McKelvey, DPT, to Redding Rancheria Trinity Health Center! Originally from Redondo Beach, California, Donovan earned his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Humboldt State University and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Franklin Pierce University. Physical therapy made a meaningful difference in Donovan’s own life, and he finds joy in helping others experience its benefits. With eight years of experience in acute care, he is excited to begin this new chapter in outpatient care. 💙 Outside of work, Donovan enjoys family time, camping, fishing, board games, and disc golf. We are happy to have you on our team, Donovan! 🎉

🎀 Redding Rancheria had a wonderful time attending Shasta Regional Medical Center’s VIPink Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon. It was an afternoon focused on education, connection, and community.

We appreciated the opportunity to learn more about breast cancer, the importance of early detection, and caring for our health through everyday choices, including staying active and eating well. 💗

A heartfelt thank you to Shasta Regional Medical Center for hosting such an informative and inspiring event. We’re grateful to the speakers for sharing their knowledge and personal experiences and bringing hope and encouragement to this important conversation.

Together, we can keep the conversation going and support those whose lives have been touched by breast cancer. 🎀

🌲 Redding Rancheria’s Great Outdoor Challenge 🌲

The Great Outdoor Challenge inspired participants to stay active, explore nature, and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. From trails and peaks to waterways and scenic views, participants embraced opportunities to get moving, connect with nature, and create memories with family and friends. 🥾🏔️💧

Whether they hiked a new trail, reached a scenic overlook, paddled on the water, or simply spent time outdoors, every adventure supported wellness and encouraged connection with the world around them. 🌿

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Great Outdoor Challenge and made the most of the great outdoors. 🍃

🌿 Elder Nutrition & Wellness Program 🌿

Redding Rancheria Tribal Health System’s Elder Nutrition & Wellness Program provides Native elders with an opportunity to stay active, connect with others, and focus on healthy living in a fun and supportive environment.

The program meets every Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the third floor of the Liberty Street Clinic. Participants enjoy activities focused on nutrition, movement, wellness, and social connection.

The program is open to:

Native adults ages 55 and older

Redding Rancheria Tribal Members ages 50 and older

Eligible spouses

Individuals with disabilities who live with an eligible elder

Come join us, stay active, connect with others, and make wellness part of your week!
