Figured I would do a reading regarding the heatwave in the PNW, where I live--I mean, a lot of people may know what to do, but some folks may need some peace of mind.

In a nutshell: don't overwork today, say the playing cards. Especially if you cook or do hard labor, especially if you are working from home without sufficient air conditioning. Work and communicate with your management to address compromise, otherwise it'll be all downhill from here on. Heat stroke is no joke!

Lenormand says to keep an eye on public resources, and pay attention to what businesses are doing. If you need to, see if you can move to a designated cooling center in your area.

Kipper says to check on loved ones to make sure that they are well. If you have a family member who has resources that you do not, see if they are willing to help you out in the heat, especially if fans are sold out in your area or you don't have the funds to make your surroundings more accommodating.

The Urban Crow Oracle says not to let the heat get you down, and to keep a positive attitude as we wait for things to cool off. Do activities out of the sun, in the water (maybe a cold bath, shower, or kiddie pool in the shade). Make sure you drink enough water. ALL DAY.
