Discover Yoga

Discover Yoga A space where each student is given an opportunity to explore yoga and its practices in a way that is supportive and adaptable to their particular needs.

Serving Redmond's community since 1997. Discover Yoga, Discover Yourself
Discover Yoga was established in 1997 in the Stonehouse bookstore in Redmond. Since its inception, the teachers and staff have been committed to serving our students through instruction of yoga postures, breathing and meditation techniques as well as the history and philosophy of Yoga. In the tradition of Sri Krishnamacharya,

known as Viniyoga, our instructors have learned to adapt each class to the needs of the students. Viniyoga’s focus on individualised teaching, modifications and adaptations of the poses, and attention to breath provide the opportunity to begin at any level and deepen your practice with each class you attend. Yoga For Every Body
At Discover Yoga we firmly believe that yoga is for Every Body. There are no bodies that aren’t right for yoga, everyone can benefit from the healing, growth and deeper peace that a yoga practice can provide. As well as building strength, flexibility and overall good health in the physical body, yoga also works on the mental, emotional and personality levels to bring greater ease, joy and freedom to your life. The limitations of your physical body should never be a barrier to the health boosting benefits of practicing yoga. You won’t find any one-size-fits-all, cookie-cutter yoga at DY. Viniyoga is all about adapting all of the postures and techniques to the individual student. Each class at our studio is different and reflects the needs of the students practicing in class that day. Our instructors are all trained to adapt and modify the poses to help make them accessible in some form to every student. Some of our students even practice all or part of their class seated in a chair! We can assure you that no matter your age, shape, size, stage of life or level of ability you’ll be able to find classes at our studio that you’ll enjoy and feel comfortable and successful in. What are you waiting for? Our caring, knowledgeable instructors will make you feel right at home, answer your questions and help you find a way to move that is safe and appropriate for your body. New Students can try 2 classes for just $20

Join us for Part 2 of this important subject....

Take the next step in balancing your pelvic floor by learning additional functional movement practices to incorporate into your everyday life. This follow up workshop will include exercises to help you get more refined in feeling your pelvic floor in various positions. Through exploring common yoga poses, you will understand how your pelvic floor responds to movement in different directions. We will also explore the chain of pelvic floor connections from head to toe, and how to activate your core muscles to support your pelvic floor health in everyday life and through your yoga practice.

Sink into a deeply restorative sound bath designed to calm the nervous system and invite the body into a state of rest.

Through the gentle layering of sound and vibration, this experience supports a natural shift from doing into being — allowing the mind to quiet, the breath to soften, and the body to receive.

Sound has a unique way of moving through us, creating subtle resonance that can help release tension and restore balance. Whether you are new to sound baths or returning to your practice, this is a space to simply lie down, listen, and allow.

Today we honor the many shapes love can take.

Mother’s Day can bring many feelings at once. Wherever this day finds you, we hope you move through it gently and with compassion for yourself.

One of my greatest gifts has been learning alongside my children — how to slow down, stay present, laugh more freely, and love more deeply. Sharing personal moments with them feels like a celebration not only of motherhood, but of connection and growth.

To all who nurture, support, guide, protect, teach, and care for others in ways seen and unseen — we honor you today.
