This is Kale!
Kale has made remarkable progress towards his recovery from his SCI injury. He is a warrior and works hard every minute he is at Pushing Boundaries.

There are approximately 18,000 annual SCI cases in the USA, with roughly 308,000 people living with a SCI today. The same injury can present very different for each person, and the recovery process and extent will also be unique. Whether it’s continuing rehab for maintenance and reducing risk of secondary conditions, or part taking in an intense rehab program for further recovery, Pushing Boundaries will help provide exercise therapy for tailored goals.

We still have time left in today’s Give BIG campaign! Help us reach our goal of $12000! Link in profile to donate and help support us in our mission to serve people living with paralysis and other neurological disorders, diseases and injuries in Washington.

Meet Gabby, a strong beautiful soul that is recovering from Guillain Barre Syndrome.

GBS is an autoimmune condition that can take weeks to months, and sometimes years to recover. Roughly 70-85% of the people will recover fully or with minor weaknesses. But 10-20% may have lasting nerve damage that may ground a more challenging recovery. Gabby has shown remarkable progress, and we are excited for her to continue getting stronger!

We still have time left in today’s Give BIG campaign. Stay tuned for another client story later today!

We have raised $4100 out of our $12000 goal so far!! Link in profile to donate and help support us in our mission to serve people living with paralysis and other neurological disorders, diseases and injuries in Washington.

GiveBIG is here!! LETS GO!!!

Meet today’s first client spotlight, Gordon. He is a stroke survivor, the first Washingtonian to implant the Vivistim device, and most of all, an absolute joy to work with.

Did you know roughly 795,000 people suffer a stroke annually in the USA? That’s about 1 every 6 seconds. It is the 5th leading cause of death and the primary cause of serious long term disability.

Stay tuned throughout the day for some more client stories!!
