Today, June 27, is National HIV Testing Day.
There is nothing wrong with knowing your HIV status.

Do you know yours?

This is especially important for those who engage in unprotected s.xual encounters, particularly with strangers or multiple partners. Knowing your HIV status can save your life and help protect others.

As someone who has trained thousands of female s*x workers (FSWs), men who have s*x with men (MSMs), and people who inject drugs (PWIDs) on HIV testing and counseling, I can tell you that receiving a positive HIV diagnosis can come with significant emotional challenges.

However, I also want you to know that testing positive for HIV is not the end of the road. With early diagnosis, treatment, and proper care, people living with HIV can live long, healthy, and productive lives.

My advice today is simple:
• Get tested.
• Know your HIV status.
• Practice safe s*x every time, not just sometimes.

Remember: "HIV no dey show for face". You cannot tell if someone has HIV just by looking at them.

Know your status. Protect yourself. Protect others.

💢 JUNE IS MEN'S MENTAL HEALTH MONTH

For many men, the hardest words to say can be:

"I'm not okay."

June is Men's Mental Health Month — a time to raise awareness, encourage conversations, and remind men that asking for help is not a sign of weakness.

🛑 WHY THIS MONTH MATTERS

Mental health challenges affect people from every walk of life.

🚶‍➡️Fathers.
🏇 Sons.
🏌️ Brothers.
🏋️ Friends.
⛹️ Co-workers.
🧑‍🦽‍➡️ Neighbours.

Yet many men still feel pressure to stay silent, handle problems alone, or hide what they're going through.

🛑 THE REALITY

Many men struggle with:

• anxiety
• depression
• stress and burnout
• grief and loss
• loneliness and isolation
• addiction and substance use
• financial and family pressures

Sometimes the signs aren't obvious.

🎈 It can look like withdrawing from others, 🎈 working constantly, 🎈 anger, 🎈 irritability, 🎈 or simply pretending everything is fine.

💙 CHECK IN ON THE MEN IN YOUR LIFE

A simple conversation can make a bigger difference than you realize.

Sometimes it's as simple as:

"How are you doing?"

Those few words can open a door that someone has been afraid to walk through alone.

💙 YOU DON'T HAVE TO CARRY IT ALONE

If you're struggling, please know there are people who care.

Talking to a friend, family member, P*P, counsellor, support group, or crisis line can be the first step.

💙 From me:

To every man carrying more than people realize:

You matter.

Your mental health matters.

Your story matters.

And asking for help is one of the strongest things a person can do.

Are You Mentally Ready for the World Cup?

The World Cup brings excitement, passion, and a lot of emotions. Every team enters the competition hoping to win, but in the end, there can only be one champion. Some teams will advance, some will be eliminated, and one team will eventually lift the trophy.

As fans, it's important to prepare ourselves mentally for the possible outcomes. While supporting your favorite team is great, remember that football is a game;not a do-or-die affair. Unfortunately, some people engage in harmful or depressing behaviors when their team loses. No sporting event is worth risking your mental health, relationships, or well-being.
Let's enjoy the competition, celebrate the beautiful game, respect one another, and remember that wins and losses are all part of sports.
Also, as we continue to observe Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, let's encourage healthy emotional expression, resilience, and self-care. Your mental health matters more than any match result.
Enjoy the World Cup responsibly and take care of your mental well-being.

Please, does anyone know of any NGOs or organizations in Nigeria that support people with kidney problems? Someone mentioned an organization to me some time ago, but I’m not quite sure of the name. I’m looking for any lead or assistance that could help this poor young man.

Thank you so much.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mothers around the world. ❤️

Today, we celebrate the women whose love knows no limits, whose sacrifices often go unseen, and whose strength keeps families together even during the hardest times.

A mother is more than a parent; she is a protector, a teacher, a comforter, a prayer warrior, and the heartbeat of the home. Many mothers carry pain silently, give endlessly, and still wake up every day with love in their hearts for their children.

To every mother who stayed strong when life became difficult.
To every mother who cried in silence but still smiled for her children.
To every single mother carrying the weight of both parents.
To every grandmother, guardian, and mother figure who stepped in with unconditional love.

We honor you today.

Your love shapes lives. Your sacrifices matter. Your prayers carry generations. The world is better because of mothers like you.

May you receive the same love, care, joy, and appreciation that you so freely give to others every single day.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the queens called “Mom.” 🌹

I don’t know if this is real or Ai. Some people are saying it’s real. But if it is real, my question is: was this guy on something, or did the car’s brakes fail? Just thinking out loud

And you feel the best way to punish your husband is to starve him, right? You came into his life to torture and destabilize his mental health. This may sound unbelievable, but unfortunately it’s the sad reality many men find themselves in. One man told me his wife punishes him by depriving him of his matrimonial benefits, therefore exposing him to danger out there. Not every man is bold enough to speak up, but so many men are having similar issues.
