Well…that was something that words can’t truly describe. I met 16 strangers from countries around the world, in the Himalayas of India, to go through an extraordinary experience. We were training to be teachers of Vedic meditation. This particular training stays true to its purest form as it has been taught since the beginning. It is considered to be the gold standard in India and beyond. We spent 3 months isolated with every spare minute taken up with lectures, trainings, and meditation after meditation after meditation. We spent a total of 12,360 minutes meditating and for a few weeks up to 14 hours of meditation per day…and not skipping lectures and learning on those days. Lectures went into the early morning and we took it all in. We experienced the highest of highs, the lowest of lows, and everything in between. This amazing collective of such diverse personalities got through it and I learned so much about myself from all the experiences, good and bad. I learned so much from each one of my colleagues. We worked as one unit and I could not imagine what this experience would be like if one piece of that unit was missing.
This post is also to thank my 16 colleagues. I don’t know how I would have gotten through it without you all. The laughs, the cries, the bickering, the helping…all good!!!
And to all the teachers and assistants who led us so gracefully. I can’t wait to share this knowledge and to share this amazing practice that has changed my life over the years. I just returned to Los Angeles and have a booked out course in May. Please message me if you have any questions. More courses coming soon!!!
