South Bay Children's Health Center

South Bay Children's Health Center SBCHC Non-Profit has provided families with access to high quality mental health and dental services since 1947

The vision of the South Bay Children's Health Center is that all children will have every opportunity possible to fulfill their potential and lead healthy lives by having their dental, mental, emotional, and other health needs met. We work to attain this through the provision of outpatient mental health and dental services to children, adolescents, and young adults who come from low to moderate in

come families and who cannot afford these vital health services. We provide our services through our Child Guidance Clinic, Dental Clinic, and the South Bay Youth Project.

πŸ’› September is Su***de Prevention Month πŸ’›

Every child, teen, and young person deserves to know that they are seen, heard, valued, and never alone.

Su***de prevention starts with connection. A simple β€œHow are you really doing?” can open the door to a conversation that matters. Listen without judgment, take concerns seriously, and remind the young people in your life that it’s okay to ask for help.

Let’s make space for the conversations that can save lives.
You matter. Your voice matters. Help is available.

πŸ§ πŸ’™ Teen Mental Health Month πŸ’™πŸ§

Being a teenager isn't always easy. Between school, friendships, family, social media, and the pressures of growing up, it's normal to experience ups and downs. But no one should have to face those challenges alone.

This Teen Mental Health Month, we're sharing simple ways teens can care for their mental well-being, and how parents, caregivers, and trusted adults can help create safe, supportive spaces where young people feel heard, valued, and understood.

✨ Swipe through for practical tips to:
πŸ’™ Support emotional well-being
πŸ’™ Build healthy habits
πŸ’™ Strengthen communication
πŸ’™ Know when it's time to reach out for help

At South Bay Children's Health Center, we believe every young person deserves to feel supported, connected, and hopeful. Asking for help is a sign of strength, and together we can help teens thrive.

πŸ€πŸ’› Happy International Day of Friendship!

Friendship is more than sharing laughs and making memories, it helps children and teens feel connected, supported, and valued. Positive friendships can build confidence, reduce stress, and remind young people that they don't have to face life's challenges alone.

At SBCHC, we believe that every child deserves to feel a sense of belonging and know they have people who care about them. A kind word, a listening ear, or simply showing up for a friend can make a lasting difference.

Today, let's celebrate the power of friendship and encourage our young people to lift each other up, practice kindness, and create communities where everyone feels seen, heard, and included. 🌟

Tag a friend who has made a positive impact in your life and let them know how much they mean to you! πŸ’•
