Eliška Rezníček Dočkalová, General Manager of waterdrop | Drink More Water CEE, told Wizaz.pl what’s actually in her daily routine: an Apple Watch and Welltory, for catching the link between energy and stress before it catches her off guard.

Not more numbers – just a clearer read on your own patterns, especially when you need it most. Thank you for your trust! 💚

ℹ️ Everyone had the same take on Apple’s apple health update: “just catching up.” We asked Welltory’s founder, Jane Smorodnikova, to share her honest opinion. Higly recommend to read it all!

🗯️ “The morning after Apple’s presentation, I found myself wanting to defend the company.

🔎 “They’re just catching up with ŌURA and WHOOP” was the reaction that bothered me. It misses both Apple’s reach and what developers can do with better data.

In Rock Health’s 2025 survey, 63% of U.S. wearable owners reported owning an Apple device; 6% reported owning an Oura.

Being first matters. But so does putting a capability on the platform that many more people already use.

And Apple lets other companies build on it. Few watchmakers give outside developers detailed heart-rate data close to real time. An API that delivers yesterday’s recovery score is a very different tool from measurements you can use this afternoon.

With the user’s permission, Apple Health makes those measurements available to health developers, including companies building remote patient monitoring systems.

They can build on Apple’s watches instead of having to manufacture their own. That makes this update valuable far beyond Apple’s own apps.

📍 The use case I care about isn’t shaving seconds off a run. It’s understanding what happens to someone’s body when taking a shower or buying groceries is already a physical challenge.

😨🌀Hot flashes, mood swings, sleepless nights – isn’t it strange that most of what gets said about perimenopause still sounds like a warning label?

👉 September is Perimenopause Awareness Month! And it’s worth pausing on the topic.

It can sound scary, it’s easy to feel alone in it… But let’s normalize it – women’s bodies deserve more attention than that.

What rarely gets said is that the body signals this shift earlier than that.

Perimenopause can start in a woman’s late 30s, and sleep changes first: in a large tracking study, six in ten women were already waking more through the night in the 18 months before menopause, long before anyone had a name for what was happening.

Underneath it is a nervous system doing overtime.

Hot flashes – which affect roughly three in four women in this transition – are small surges of sympathetic activity, the same signal that spikes during a stressful meeting or a near miss in traffic.

💙 Heart rate variability , the metric Welltory has always tracked, lives right in that same signal – showing up in the data long before it shows up as a symptom.

When did you first notice something had shifted? Tell us in the comments, if you feel comfortable.

This isn’t about doing more. It’s about a good day, exactly as it is!

It’s National Dog Day 🐾

Fun fact: back in 2004, Colleen Paige picked this date because it’s the anniversary of bringing home her first dog at age 10. She just remembered how calm it made her feel.

Turns out that feeling is real and measurable: higher heart-rate variability, lower cortisol, a body finally safe enough to rest.

Show us the dog that does this to you, and swipe left for the memes that prove it!!

🪫 For anyone with dysautonomia: why you can handle something one week and not the next, why «pacing» matters so much, why one extra commitment can unravel a month of careful management.

You’re not being weak. You’re operating with a lower credit limit and a higher interest rate than the people around you.

If your nervous system is dysregulated, your data tells a specific story.

📲 Here is where to check it on your Welltory.

ℹ️ P.S. This post is for educational purposes. None of these are diagnoses or medical advice. But together, they paint a 24/7 picture that no 15-minute doctor’s appointment can capture. For people with dysautonomia who’ve been told «your labs are normal» while feeling terrible every day, seeing this data is often the first time anything has confirmed what they already knew.

Your HRV is consistently low and flat. A healthy nervous system has a lot of day-to-day variability. The thermostat is constantly adjusting. A dysregulated system looks like a flatline: the thermostat is jammed, and the temperature barely moves.

Your resting heart rate won’t come down. If your RHR has crept up over weeks or months without illness or deconditioning, that’s your sympathetic system running hotter than it should. The furnace is on and won’t turn off.

On the screenshot it’s moving!

Daily Timeline!

Your stationary stress is high even on «easy» days. The orange zone in your timeline shows heart rate elevation without movement. If this is consistently high even when you’re not psychologically stressed. That’s dysautonomia in real time. Your system is producing heat even when the room doesn’t need it.

On the screenshot we can see all states during one day.

Your recovery is shallow or missing. The blue zone shows when your body is actually repairing. If that zone is thin or absent (especially during sleep), your AC isn’t kicking in. The thermostat can’t engage the cooling cycle.

Your Nervous System Snapshot stays red or yellow. If you’re rarely in green (activated but steady) and mostly in red (high intensity, low ease) or yellow (

Your body knows what’s affecting you before you do ♦️⁉️

😥 A stressful meeting. Too much coffee. An argument.

😌 Or, on the other hand, a walk with your kid that helped you finally slow down.

Welltory picks up stress and recovery episodes throughout the day – but only you know what caused them.

That’s where your notes come in 🏷️

We’re making Welltory more personalized! When you tag what was happening, those little moments start to connect.

Over time, you might notice patterns: what keeps pushing you into stress, what actually helps you recover, and what you’ve been overlooking.

It’s easy to do and doesn’t have to take much time – just a quick note when it happens.

And sometimes, seeing the pattern is the first step toward paying attention and making a change ✨
