May is National Mental Health Awareness Month. Mental health matters, especially for our little ones.

Kids experience stress, anxiety, grief, overwhelm, big emotions, and hard days too. When we create safe spaces for children to talk, play, feel, and heal, we help them build the foundation for lifelong emotional wellness.

Ending the stigma starts with honest conversations, compassion, and reminding children that their feelings are valid. Self-care is not just for adults. Children deserve support, rest, connection, creativity, and tools to navigate their world in healthy, age appropriate ways.

Let’s raise kids who know:
It’s okay to ask for help
Their voice matters
Feelings are not “too much”
Healing and growth are possible

Together, we can create a kinder, more supportive world for children and families. 💚

Today, our staff showed support in two meaningful ways — some wore orange in recognition of Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) Awareness Day 🧡, while others wore green to show support for ALL mental health awareness. 💚

🧡Observed each year on May 15th, PWS Awareness Day is especially meaningful because Prader-Willi Syndrome is caused by a genetic change involving the 15th chromosome. Throughout the month of May, we also recognize PWS Awareness Month, dedicated to increasing understanding, supporting affected individuals and families, and encouraging continued research.

💚Although today we are wrapping up Mental Health Awareness Week, the conversation does not end here. Mental health awareness reminds us of the importance of compassion, support, and creating safe spaces for every individual and family facing challenges.

Together, we are proud to help spread awareness, compassion, support, and hope throughout our community. 🧡💚
