We’ll be loaded up tomorrow morning with everything from peaches, nectarines, blueberries, tomatoes, corn, pole beans, okra, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, mushrooms and micro greens, new potatoes, sourdough breads, Alabama Gulf Seafood, BBQ from C& T catering, locally raised beef, pork, lamb & chicken, coffees from Barking Bee Coffees, Daysprings Dairy has delicious cheeses and caramels. Olive & Ellies pickles, Josie Gladys Gardens has elderberry syrup, jams and jelly. Honey 🍯, cakes and cookies, boiled P’nuts, goats milk soaps BBQ sauce and some really cool jewelry from various vendors. Gosh, I guess we’ve got it all 😊😊

RIP dehydrator…
I’ve had this Cosori dehydrator for just over a year. It’s a 10 tray version, and I had the smaller version before this one. This brand is quiet and efficient and I love that, but…
They just die. The last one was not in warranty when it died, but thankfully this one is. I’ll be upgrading to more of a workhorse brand, maybe commercial next time I purchase. I love the functionality of this brand, but I cannot be replacing them every year or 2. I use it more often than most people, I suppose 😅

So while I’m stalled out not being able to dry things, I’ve been traipsing through the woods. There were so many mushrooms yesterday! Mostly some amanita family friends that are not edible. But I had fun looking.

I also found that I have False Solomon’s Seal! Last year we had a ridiculous amount of Chinese privet mulched down to make way for native growth. And the woods are full of beauty berry now! I’m hoping they’ll be strong enough to overtake the privet. I can’t wait to see what other natives pop up on their own.
