Another University of Nevada softball player came in to try StemWave, and it’s been awesome seeing these athletes experience how quickly the body can respond when you address the problem the right way. Whether it’s calve pain, shoulder pain, tightness, or something that’s been lingering for a while, sometimes your body just needs the right push to start recovering better.

Sitting all day without movement breaks can slowly shorten and tighten your hip flexors more than most people realize. Over time, that tension can contribute to hip tightness, low back discomfort, poor posture, and even limited movement when you’re trying to stay active. One way we help address that built-up tension is through trigger point release to help the muscles relax, move better, and stop holding so much stress. Your body was built to move—not stay folded in a chair all day.

Your desk setup might be causing more stress on your body than your workout does. Hours spent slouched forward with rounded shoulders and your head pushed toward a screen can slowly lead to neck pain, headaches, tight shoulders, and upper back tension. One of the easiest things you can start doing throughout the day is checking in with your posture. Sit tall, keep your shoulders back, and avoid collapsing into your desk. Small adjustments repeated daily can make a huge difference in how your body feels.

Goal post wall exercises are a great way to activate the muscles that help keep your shoulders and upper back in a healthier position throughout the day. Simple movements like this can help improve posture, reduce tension, and make your body feel a whole lot better over time.

Posture check! Neck tension, back pain, headaches, stiffness—sometimes the problem starts long before you actually feel the pain. Poor posture and the positions we spend hours in every day can slowly place extra stress on the body without us even realizing it. This week, we’re starting with one simple stretch that can help open up tight areas, improve posture, and relieve some of that built-up tension. Small changes in the way your body moves and holds itself can have a huge impact on how you feel day to day!
