There is something really grounding about a flock that trusts you. šŸ‘

Good feed. Clean water. Attentive care. It sounds simple because it is. And the animals that thrive are usually the ones whose people never stopped paying attention to those fundamentals.

International Corgi Day, celebrated annually on June 4th, honors the beloved, low-riding breed for its loyalty, intelligence, and charming personality, largely popularized by Queen Elizabeth II. Founded by the Omaha Corgi Crew, it supports rescues and brings lovers of the breed together.
Ways to Celebrate International Corgi Day (June 4)
• Host or Join a Corgi Meetup: Participate in local parades, beach days, or meetups. These gatherings, often organized on social media, offer the perfect opportunity to socialize corgis, share stories, and witness a "corgi loaf" parade. [1, 2]
• Support Corgi Rescues and Charities: Donate to organizations like the Omaha Corgi Crew, East Coast Corgi Rescue, or other local, breed-specific shelters to help corgis in need. [1, 2]
• Share on Social Media: Post photos and videos of your corgi (or your favorite internet corgis) using the official hashtag to connect with a global community of owners. [1]
• Pamper Your Corgi: Give your pet a special day by taking them on a favorite walk, providing a new toy, or organizing a long, relaxing grooming/cuddle session. [1, 2]
• Educational Activities: Learn more about the two distinct breeds—Pembroke Welsh Corgi and Cardigan Welsh Corgi—including their unique temperaments, herding backgrounds, and potential health needs, such as back care. [1, 2]
• Dress Up and Photoshoots: Capture memories by dressing up your dog in a festive bandana, costume, or a small royal crown to honor the breed's connection to Queen Elizabeth II.

Essential Hugging Techniques
• Hind support: Always place one hand under the hind legs to make the cat feel safe.
• Three-second rule: Keep the physical squeeze brief. Release immediately if the cat struggles.
• Avoid the belly: Restrict pressure to the chest and shoulder areas to prevent defensive reactions
Alternative Ways to Celebrate
• Premium treats: Provide high-quality snacks as a touch-free alternative to physical bonding.
• Play sessions: Dedicate uninterrupted time using interactive wand toys or laser pointers.
• Grooming: Use a soft brush to mimic maternal grooming behavior if your cat dislikes being held.

Living his best life and honestly? Same. ā˜€ļøā›µ

There's nothing quite like watching your dog soak up every single moment of summer. Whether it's the water, the wind, or just the warm sun on their face, dogs have a way of reminding us to slow down and enjoy it all.

Where is your pup spending their summer days? Tell us below! 🐾

Hot take: hay quality matters just as much in summer as it does in winter. 🌾

Here's something a lot of horse owners don't think about until there's a problem. When pasture quality peaks in early summer, horses on full turnout may actually be taking in less dry matter than you think because fresh grass is mostly water.

Horses still need consistent forage to keep the hindgut moving. Pulling hay entirely when pasture looks great can quietly lead to digestive upset, changes in manure, or unexplained behavior shifts.

A simple rule to keep in mind: forage first, always. Even in June. šŸ™Œ
