Just how powerful is an MRI magnet? 👀🧲 Take a look.
Before we said goodbye to our current MRI, our Imaging team at Vantage Radiology & Diagnostic Services had a little behind-the-scenes fun—and captured something most people never get to see in person.

That incredible magnetic force you see in the video is why MRI safety is so important. Our team was preparing to quench the magnet, safely shutting down its magnetic field as part of the de-installation process. And after 35 years in Imaging, one of our team members told us this was the first MRI quench they’ve ever witnessed.

And all this fun was in the name of making way for upgraded technology in our MRI suite: installation of a new wide bore MRI that gives patients more room, shortens the time of some scans, and uses smart technology to adapt to each patient.

Located at the site of Valley’s former Kent Primary Care Clinic, the Kent East Hill Clinic provides integrated primary care, behavioral health, immunizations, family planning, pregnancy and reproductive health care, and physical and annual exams. Pharmacy and dental services are expected to be available at the clinic in 2027.
