# The Hands That Built Our World

Honor the elders who walked before us,
who carried dreams in weathered hands,
who knew the meaning of sacrifice
and built tomorrow from what they had.

They raised families, worked long days,
loved through hardship, laughed through tears,
and gathered a lifetime of stories
within the quiet lines upon their faces.

Their hands may move a little slower now,
their footsteps may not be what they were,
but every wrinkle holds a chapter,
every scar remembers where they've been.

They taught us how to keep going,
how to forgive, how to love,
how to find joy in simple moments

100 years old and has been part of our Visiting Angels family for 12 wonderful years. ❤️
Just imagine all that M has witnessed in her lifetime:

✨ The invention of television becoming a household staple
✨ The first commercial jet flights
✨ The Civil Rights Movement
✨ The moon landing in 1969 🌕
✨ The rise of computers and the internet 💻
✨ The first cell phones and smartphones 📱
✨ The transition from handwritten letters to video calls
✨ Countless changes in medicine, technology, transportation, and daily life

From black-and-white television to streaming services, from rotary phones to smartphones, M has experienced a century of history, resilience, innovation, and memories.

🍝❤️ **Family Recipe Spotlight: Classic Homemade Lasagna** ❤️🍝

There's nothing quite like the smell of homemade lasagna baking in the oven. It's comfort food at its finest and the perfect meal to bring family and friends together around the table.

# # # 🛒 Ingredients

* 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
* 1 small onion, diced
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 24 oz pasta sauce
* 9 lasagna noodles, cooked
* 15 oz ricotta cheese
* 1 egg
* 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
* ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
* 1 tsp Italian seasoning
* Salt & pepper to taste
* Fresh parsley (optional)

# # # 👩‍🍳 Directions

1️⃣ Preheat oven to **375°F**.
2️⃣ Brown the meat with the onion and garlic. Drain excess grease and stir in the pasta sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes.
3️⃣ In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
4️⃣ In a 9x13 baking dish, layer:

* Meat sauce
* Lasagna noodles
* Ricotta mixture
* Mozzarella cheese

Repeat the layers, finishing with sauce and a generous layer of mozzarella and Parmesan on top.

5️⃣ Cover with foil and bake for **30 minutes**. Remove the foil and bake another **15–20 minutes**, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

6️⃣ Let the lasagna rest for **10–15 minutes** before serving.

Let's take a moment to thank the people who...

📱 Taught us not to talk to strangers... then introduced us to everyone at the grocery store.

💡 Said, "Money doesn't grow on trees!" every time we asked for something.

🚗 Somehow had eyes in the back of their heads.

🍽️ Asked, "What's for dinner?"... even after making dinner every night for years.

😴 Told us to go to bed early... and now they're the first ones asleep on the couch!

Parents may not have all the answers, but they somehow always know when you've done something you shouldn't have. 😅

❤️ Today, give your parents a hug, a call, or send them a text to let them know how much they mean to you. One day, you'll catch yourself saying, "Because I said so," and realize... they were right all along!

Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness leave the biggest impact—a smile, a listening ear, holding someone's hand, making a phone call just to check in, or simply letting someone know they matter.
