From a channel system perspective, catch cold, coughing, bronchitis, wheezing, sore throat are associates with a disposition toward impairment of Lungs. Wind cold or Wind heat fettering the exterior hinders the protective Yang qi and constrains the Ying Qi, resulting in exterior symptoms. When pathogenic factors clog the Lungs, they lose their ability to disseminate and direct downward. The location of these three points are similar to Dao Ma at LU5, but the functions are much stronger than LU5. Not only treats Lung related symptoms, it also treats issues around Lungs, such as laryngitis, rhinitis, sore throat, chest pain , upper back pain, scapular area pain and shoulder pain(along with Lung Channel, LU1 &LU2).
