Did you know? Ragweed allergies can cross-react with certain fresh foods.

Notice your mouth itching after eating watermelon or cucumber during allergy season? Your ragweed allergy might be to blame. It’s called oral allergy syndrome, and it happens because your body confuses food proteins with pollen proteins.

Cooking usually breaks down the protein, so cooked versions are typically fine. Bothersome symptoms are worth a conversation with us.
