Super Cool and thought provoking art display that I came across at the Waterfront. The piece consists of two massive billboard-like sculptures facing each other across a narrow walkway—one says NOW and the other NEVER. Visitors walk between them, symbolically moving through the tension between action and hesitation, urgency and delay. Alicia Eggert designed the work to encourage reflection on both personal decisions and larger societal challenges.

One detail you might appreciate: the sculptures are aligned so that the sun rises directly between them on the summer solstice, connecting the artwork’s message about time and choice to the rhythms of nature.

The whole installation is essentially asking the question: What do I do with the time I have left? Not in a depressing way—more as an invitation to choose deliberately.

I am not an “art enthusiast” but I appreciated the thought provoking pause that this piece triggered in me and many others passing by.
