National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists

National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists NACNS is the only association representing the clinical nurse specialist (CNS)

Founded in 1995, The National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists is the only association representing the clinical nurse specialist (CNS). CNSs are advanced practice registered nurses who work in a variety of specialties to ensure high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care. As leaders in health care settings, CNSs provide direct patient care and lead initiatives to improve care and

clinical outcomes, and reduce costs. NACNS is dedicated to advancing CNS practice and education, removing certification and regulatory barriers, and assuring the public access to quality CNS services.

One month until ! 🎉

This year's theme, Amplify, is a call to elevate the voice, value, and visibility of Clinical Nurse Specialists and the essential role they play in advancing healthcare.

Every day, CNSs improve patient outcomes, strengthen nursing practice, drive evidence-based care, and lead system-wide innovations. Yet many of these contributions happen behind the scenes. CNS Week is an opportunity to make that impact more visible by celebrating the expertise, leadership, and measurable results CNSs bring to patients, nurses, and healthcare organizations.

From September 1-7, we'll come together to amplify the profession, share our stories, recognize colleagues who are transforming care, and help others better understand the unique value of the CNS role.

Throughout the week, NACNS will share resources, spotlight CNS achievements, and host the "Amplify the CNS: Making the Invisible Indispensable" Town Hall with NACNS President Jackie Iseler.
