As the weekend comes to a close, may we pause to reflect on the impact we have on the lives around us.

The lessons we share, the traditions we carry forward, the values we live by, and the kindness we offer can continue long after a moment has passed.

Because a meaningful life is not only about what we accomplish, but about what we leave in the hearts and lives of others.

delicate flower, thoughtfully chosen and placed with care.
A favorite tie, carefully arranged.
A treasured photograph, positioned just so.
A loved one’s personal belongings, handled with respect.

These may seem like small details, but to a family saying goodbye, they can mean so much. Families may not see every moment of preparation, but we do.

Because when someone you love is in our care, every detail matters.

The tradition of wearing black as a sign of mourning dates back centuries. Over time, black came to symbolize grief, respect, and remembrance, becoming a way to visibly honor the person who has passed and stand in solidarity with their loved ones.

While funeral traditions have evolved, the meaning behind them often remains: we gather to remember, to honor, and to support one another through loss.

Linda D. (Hoyle) Collins, of Saugus, formerly of East Boston, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on July 30th at 71 years of age.

Linda was born in Lowell on January 21, 1955. As a young girl, she traveled throughout the world as a member of a military family as her father was serving. She attended elementary school in Puerto Rico and later moved to Germany where she attended and graduated from high school. When she became an adult and started her own family, she settled in East Boston where she remained a proud longtime resident. Aside from being a mother and raising her family, she also worked as a legal secretary for several law firms throughout her career.

Linda was very well-traveled as young girl and she grew an interest and enjoyment in seeing new places which she carried into her adulthood. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren, and was most happy in the company of family and friends. enjoyed life and all it had to offer. She was always happy and maintained a positive attitude regardless of what she might have been going through.

She is the former wife of the late David W. Collins. Devoted mother of Erika Collins of Nashua, New Hampshire and David Collins of Newton, Massachusetts. Cherished grandmother of David and Andrew Collins. She is the dear sister of Steve Hoyle of Lowell.

In Loving Memory,
