National Black Cat Appreciation Day
was August 17.

Somehow missed Black Cat day

National Black Cat Day is celebrated on October 27th, having been introduced in 2011 by Cats Protection to raise adoption rates and challenge superstitions. It is distinct from National Black Cat Appreciation Day, which falls earlier in the year on August 17th.
( well how cool is that these cats get 2 day!!!)

Unfortunately Black Cats are not favored as much as other cats when someone is looking to adopt.
They are often in the shelters longer
People often see them as bad luck

Lets show them this is wrong, lets see all those black cats!!!!

Today is National Check the Chip Day.
Check your pets Microchip by having it scanned so that you know that it is still working like it should be.
Also a good time to update your information with whoever you registered the microchip with.

The one thing that happens all the time, is pets are microchipped but no one registered the chip or if you move, change phone numbers or pet is adopted and becomes lost when someone scans the information is not correct and the owner is not able to be found.
Make a point to mark you calendars for at least 1 time a year to update your information!!!!
