Peyton made it thru surgery. It took longer than expected and they ended up having to resect some of her small intestine that they weren't planning to but praying this really helps her. The dr sounded hopeful. Thank you for all the prayers.

Tomorrow marks Peyton's 17th surgery. That number doesn't even include minor procedures, nerve ablations, pain injections, etc...She will be in Marshfield for this one and I am praying that this really helps her. The doctor is hopeful.

2026 is supposed to be Peyton's year! The year of her golden birthday. However, it has been filled with one hurdle after the other. We just scheduled #3 surgery in August. She will be having some of her lower intestines rerouted and attached elsewhere along with a new tube and new site. Hopefully this will help and save her from having procedures every month if not every couple weeks. That is the route we have been on. Her 21st is in October and while there will be no drinking allowed she is hoping to celebrate with a gaming desktop computer. I hope to put that smile on her face because somehow she keeps smiling thru it all!

I can't believe it has been almost a year and half since I have posted. Time sure gets away. So much has happened in that time. Peyton has taken up crocheting and loves to make things for other people and donate items to raise money for others. She has 2 foot surgeries, 2 stomach surgeries, and most recently hip surgery. She was also recently diagnosed with severe obstructive sleep apnea. She has had many downs in this time but also things that have made her smile more than ever.

In this world there is not many things she looks forward too but this past fall she was able to hunt in TX where we have met amazing people through . She loves to hunt, and with the list she has of hunts I better win the lottery. I can't wait to get her back out fishing again this summer too and hopefully change her luck (hasn't caught anything in 3 years).

We were also able to obtain a handicapped van that allows me to take her out in her wheelchair to help make her more comfortable and independent.

There are many times where giving up feels easy but she keeps going. I am so proud of each step she takes even when those steps go backwards.
