August 22nd is National Rainbow Baby Day, a day dedicated to celebrating new life after perinatal loss.

All in God’s Divine timing, we are thrilled to announce the upcoming birth of our sweet rainbow baby BOY, due this October 🌈💙

I will be on maternity leave beginning in mid-September, but I’ll be back on call attending births starting in February!

Breastfed babies typically only need 3–5 oz per feed from 6 weeks to 12 months because breast milk composition changes to become more calorie-dense, rather than just increasing in volume, ensuring nutritional needs are met without needing larger bottles.

Unlike formula, which stays consistent, milk volume stays relatively stable while fat content changes, preventing the need for large feedings.

So if you’re “only pumping 5oz” that’s enough!

After 5 years of serving families through home birth, we’re ready to take the next step…

🏡 We’re planning to open Alexandria’s first freestanding birth center.

This dream has been years in the making—built from listening to families in our community who are asking for more options, more support, and more personalized care.

We’ve officially found a building (!!), but it needs significant remodeling to become the warm, safe, home-like space families deserve.
