My encouragement to you on this last day of 2025, with a note about my own personal journey and growth this year.
My greatest growth this year was cultivated from betrayal. Betrayal has been my biggest teacher. It’s taught me the most about myself and what I’ve accepted from other people and from myself, it’s been my biggest catalyst of change. It’s shown the parts of people that I accepted. It’s exposed the broken parts of me that could never heal in relationships where there was one sided honesty and integrity. It taught me that self respect doesn’t look like trying harder but knowing when to let go. It taught me that not everyone values the same things I do. Not everyone builds a foundation on honor, truth or integrity. Not everyone is self aware or has the capacity for repair. I hold the key to peace, and this is directly related to the access I give others, not everyone is safe. Not everyone is meant to have a relationship with me, and that’s okay. And finally, surrender is not failure, but freedom.
For as much as I have lost, I have gained more. Here’s to continued healing and growth, let’s bring in 2026 with readiness, intention and gratitude 💫🌱

If you see this post I want you to put your phone down and go outside. Watch the sunrise, the sunset, the moon and the stars. Listen and feel for the wind, the birds and all of the little things happening around you. Touch a leaf, a petal, and run your fingers through grass. Make a fire or sit by a lake, a pool or if you’re really lucky, the ocean. Just put your phone down and leave it there. 💫🌱

To all my fellow trauma and abuse survivors, a reminder that indeed the truth does set you free. Wise men say at first the truth will make you miserable. This makes a strong case for seeking freedom and shortening up the time period of misery. Stand up, tell the story and tell the truth even when you’re afraid, especially when you’re afraid.
