A job can be more than a paycheck. It can be a pathway back to stability, confidence, and independence.
On September 10, Frisco Family Services brought together more than 255 job seekers and 32 registered employers for our Hiring Event, creating opportunities for meaningful connections and potential next steps.
In the weeks leading up to the event, we also hosted two Resume and Interviewing Skills Workshops to help candidates prepare, strengthen their skills, and feel more confident speaking with potential employers.
This is what our work looks like beyond meeting an immediate need. Through community partnerships and trusted relationships, we work to connect our neighbors with resources and opportunities that can help them move toward long term stability.
In this video, you will hear directly from one of the employers who participated, as well as an 80 year old client whose rent increased by more than 40% and who is now searching for part time work to help make ends meet.
Every person who walked through those doors carried a different story.
Our role is to help make sure they do not have to navigate the next chapter alone.
Thank you to every employer, partner, volunteer, and job seeker who helped make this event possible.
