Does anyone else feel like they spend half their summer saying:
"Go brush your teeth..for real this time."
“How did you find the iPad and not your socks that are sitting RIGHT HERE.”
“You’ve been in the shower for 20 minutes and somehow you’re still dry.”
"I've already reminded you three times..."
As a mom, I get it! As a psychologist, I remind myself that these moments aren't about laziness or inability. More often, kids need help building the executive function skills behind independence, organization, emotional regulation, and getting started.
The tricky part? Most of us parents were never taught how to teach those skills.
So I spent some time creating the Proactive Parenting Course for busy, well-intentioned, slightly crispy, almost-burnt-out parents who want practical strategies that actually fit real life. It's self-paced and includes live “Community & Connection Calls” where problem-solve everyday parenting challenges together.
If you've ever found yourself thinking, "I know my child can do this... I just don't know how to help them do it without nagging or power struggles," I made this course for you!

P.S. I shared some of mine, would love to hear yours! What's the reminder that seems to be on repeat at your home this summer?
