Another thing on my list for 2025

I didn't know my digital stuff was a problem until I dumbed down my smartphone as part of a digital declutter. It helped me focus better.

"My 8-year-old daughter left this note for our Elf, Twinkle, to take to Santa. When I found it, my heart melted, and I cried. Our favorite holiday is Christmas, and I’ve always tried to instill the true spirit of Christmas into each of my daughters. Christmas is about love, happiness, and, overall, family. There are times that we doubt ourselves as parents. There are times that we wonder if we’re doing a good enough job raising good people. She has learned that family is everything and love is more important than gifts under a tree. She has learned the spirit of giving. So, relax, Santa! Enjoy your moment to be pampered. This Christmas, we’re giving back!"

Safe Sleeping Pods for the Homeless in Ulm, Germany
In Ulm, Germany, folks without a roof over their heads can now find refuge in newly installed sleeping pods around the city. These aren’t just any pods—they’re called Ulmer Nests, made of wood and steel to protect against the cold, wind, and humidity.
Each pod fits up to two people and is designed without cameras for privacy. Instead, motion sensors alert social workers when the pods are in use, ensuring they're cleaned and ready for the next person, and that anyone using them gets the help they need.
What’s even cooler? These nests are equipped with solar panels and a radio network, so occupants can communicate without needing a mobile phone.
The creators of Ulmer Nests aim to help those who can’t access traditional shelters—whether due to psychological reasons or because they have a pet. These pods aren’t meant to replace traditional housing but serve as an “emergency last resort” to avoid the dangers of sleeping outdoors.
Such an innovative and compassionate step forward!

New Family Tradition
Every year my girls get a trash bag(s) and fill it with toys and stuff animals that they no longer play with, they then put under the Tree for Santa to take back to North Pole, and he can fix them up and give them to children next year. I love doing this with them, and they absolutely love it! (I will take bags to Salvation Army or a Toy drop for Children)
I love this idea and more should do it
