Reminder everyone...
I leave for vacation on this Wednesday August 5th. I will be out of the salon till the 18th.

The week I get back i am booked and the week after that is basically booked... maybe 1 or 2 spots for cuts.

So even if I am on vacation, you can still text for an appointment. I will be happy to make an appointment for you even if o am on vacation. Just know currently it's looking like the first week of September. But my schedule is always changing with cancelations etc. So you can check and see you never know... maybe I can get you in.

On another note... I know a very sweet young man that was in a bad car accident. He was ejected and has internal decapitation. He is doing remarkably well. The family set up a go fund me. I would appreciate if my clients can, to help the family out by donating. At the very least prayers for a full recovery. I will link the go fund me in the comments. Have a great 2 weeks and I will see you when I am back in the shop.... hopefully with some great stories from Sturgis SD.

After a lengthy conversation with a client that should be old enough to know this information... I thought maybe I should explain how hair growth works and also how hair pigment or artificial pigment works.

First - your hair grows from the roots, Not the ends. Yes your hair gets longer because the roots are pushing the hair further out of the scalp. Period! There is no new growth at the ends of hair EVER.

Second - when you color your hair all over, in 2 to 4 weeks you will be able to see some new growth. If your natural hair is a different color then the color you put on it... you will see it as it grows out more and more. You will not be able to get a permanent color (that means longest lasting type of color - and no permanent is not the same as perm such as curly) that lasts a year with out having grow out. WE CAN NOT COLOR HAIR THAT DOESN'T EXIST OUTSIDE OF THE SCALP!

3. I do not care if you had black hair in your 20s (which highly unlikely, naturally anyways). If you are in your 70s you WILL NOT look good in Black hair.
*because* when your pigment is leaving your hair (cause of grey or white hair) its also happening in your skin pigment. (Tanning or bronzers do not count)
This means if you color your hair black while in your 70s (sometimes 50s and up) you will look dead. -Blunt I know.- You do not have the same skin in your 70s as you did in your 20s.

I am not arguing this matter. It is what it is. There is no way to spin it.

No Cher doesn't count as a way to debate me. That is not apples to apples.

Also... you can not color your hair dark brown or any brown with bay leaves. Just FYI.
