📊 “Your Labs Are Normal.” But Is Normal the Same as Optimal?
Have you ever had bloodwork done and been told, “Everything looks normal!”—only to still feel like something isn’t right?
The word “normal” can be reassuring, but it doesn’t always tell the whole story. Many laboratory reference ranges are designed to identify what falls within an expected range for a population. Being somewhere within that range doesn’t necessarily mean every aspect of your health is functioning at its best.
That’s why we believe it’s important to look at the whole picture—how you feel, your lifestyle, nutrition, sleep, stress, and other factors—not just whether a number falls inside a reference range.
🧠 Normal is a range. Optimal is a goal.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions about your lab results and understand what your numbers actually mean. Your health deserves more than simply being told, “You’re in the normal range.” 💙
