💜 CRYSTAL TERM: INCLUSION

Ever notice something inside a crystal that looks like a tiny world of its own?

An inclusion is material that became trapped within a mineral as it formed. Depending on the specimen, that might be another mineral, liquid, gas, or other material.

Inclusions aren’t necessarily flaws. In fact, they can tell part of the story of how that crystal formed — and sometimes they’re exactly what makes a specimen so interesting.

So the next time you see something unusual inside a crystal, don’t automatically assume it’s an imperfection.

It may be part of the crystal’s geological story. 💜

💜 Do you cleanse your crystals? What about charging them?

These two terms get used all the time interchangeably, but they actually mean different things in modern crystal practice.

And some of the most popular methods aren't appropriate for every stone. Water can damage certain minerals, sunlight can fade others, and no... every crystal you own does not need to spend the night soaking in moon water. 😂

💜 Planetary Energy: Mercury

Mercury is traditionally associated with communication, intellect, learning, curiosity and movement.

In astrology and magical traditions, Mercury energy is connected with clear thinking, writing, speaking, studying, problem solving, travel and the exchange of ideas and information. Mercury is traditionally connected with Wednesday, the colors yellow and orange, and the element of Air.

Its energy asks a wonderfully simple question:

💜 Have you ever noticed how wildly different Mookaite can look from one piece to another?

Mookaite comes from Western Australia and can naturally appear in shades of mustard yellow, cream, red, burgundy, brown, and even mauve or purple.

In modern metaphysical traditions, Mookaite is often associated with adventure, courage, grounding and embracing change. It’s one of those stones I especially love because no two pieces seem to have quite the same personality.

And considering some Mookaite looks like it came from an entirely different stone family than the piece sitting beside it, collecting just one can be difficult. 😂💜

🔺 Why are crystals carved into pyramids?

The shape itself is part of the symbolism.

With a broad, stable base rising toward a single point, the pyramid is often associated in modern metaphysical practice with grounding, balance, focus, and directed intention.

When carved from crystal, the symbolism associated with the stone and the symbolism of the pyramid can come together in one piece.

Whether used in a crystal grid, placed on an altar, kept nearby during meditation, or simply appreciated for its beauty, sometimes the shape matters just as much as the stone. 💜

A little Raw Energy Tools history. 💜

These were taken 2013. I literally did begin this vision of mine with a couple folding tables and some crystals. Looking back on these pictures makes me laugh as it not exactly the most attractive arrangement haha.

Folding tables, boxes everywhere, and more stones than I had room for. 😂 But, everybody starts somewhere. This is where I started!

Thirteen years later, I am still here and still loving my personal crystals and my online crystal shop. 💜

What does the pentacle actually represent? ⭐

The five points of the pentacle are commonly associated with Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit, with Spirit at the top. The surrounding circle represents unity, wholeness and the connection between them all.

A simple symbol with a whole lot of meaning. 💜

🐬 Dolphin Spirit Animal

Joy. Connection. Communication. Play.

The dolphin is often associated with intelligence, communication, community, and the ability to move through life without losing our sense of curiosity and joy.

Perhaps its simplest reminder is this: You can move forward without becoming hardened by the journey. 💜
